Frequently asked questions.

Can you tell me about fees?

Individual sessions cost $225 and last 45 minutes. Couples sessions cost $250 and last 55 minutes.

Do you take insurance or do sliding scale?

I am not credentialed with any insurances. In order to promote accessibility I hold a small portion of my caseload open to sliding scale clients. I allow half sessions or biweekly sessions to offset costs.

What is out of network coverage and how does that work?

Some insurance plans allow reimbursement to clients for services provided by providers that are not in their network. Out of network benefits typically cover between 40-80 percent of service costs (please note there are sometimes caps to allowed charges per session). I will gladly provide superbills should you choose to pursue out of network coverage reimbursement for all or part of session costs. If this is something that interests you please reach out to your insurance provider to ask the following questions:

  1. Do I have mental health benefits?

  2. Does my plan include out of network benefits?

  3. Is there coinsurance or a deductible required for out of network benefits?

  4. What is the coverage amount per per therapy session.

  5. Is there a limit to how many sessions will be covered in a calendar year?

  6. Do I need authorization or approval from my primary care physician or the insurance company?

If you would like support in understanding either my fees or your insurance coverage please reach out! Uncovered costs are the client’s responsibility.

What can I do to prepare for my consultation?

The consultation call is an opportunity for us to get to know a bit more about each other and to determine whether it seems like a good fit. Therapy works best when clients feel heard and seen by their therapist. When we begin I will ask you a few questions about your goals and hopes for therapy. If you have a few moments, good preparation would be spending a few moments in reflection about what you’d like to achieve!

What happens after that?

After our consultation call we will set a time for our first session. Prior to our first session you will receive an email linking to forms collecting demographic information as well as consent and privacy forms (Credit card will be required for autopay). If you have any questions along the way please feel free to contact me.

Cancellation/ No shows

Cancellations must be made 24 hours or more prior to the start time of your appointment or your full fee will be charged to the card on file.

I look forward to working with you!
