About Kat

Kathryn Hall, LCSW

As a Clinical Social Worker my approach is systemic and relationship focused. I value our relationship as the most important part of treatment and strive to consistently uphold compassion and to follow your lead. I may have knowledge of interventions and strategies for life improvement but you have been living with yourself a long time, we are partners in the work. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, relational, psychodynamic and mindfulness methodologies. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

During the course of our work we may explore themes of intersectionality and how our societal roles may impact the nature of the challenges we face. I believe deeply in the importance of exploring the roles of power and marginalization in ourselves and in our relationships. Everyone deserves a safe space to explore the impact of oppression (both systemic and individual) in our world.

I received my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University. I’ve completed Ackerman Institute for the Family’s Post-Graduate Clinical Externship in Couples and Family Therapy, and have training in various behavioral therapies, and Internal Family Systems. My experience includes ten years of work in direct therapeutic support and program management towards emotional wellness. I have a history of work with various populations and specialize in working with the following life challenges:

Anxiety - Depression - Mood Disorders - Grief - Work/Life Balance issues - Burnout - Trauma - Racial Trauma - Attachment Issues - Relationship Issues - Marital Conflict - Life Stage concerns - Compassion Fatigue - Sleep

Congratulations on taking this step in the journey towards emotional wellness and fulfillment! I look forward to working with you.
